Alec had his first Cross Country meet of the season today. It was also his first meet ever, as this is his first year doing Cross Country. This particular meet was at home against Kyrene Middle School (KMS). I’m happy to say that both the Pueblo girls and boys had an impressive victory against the scorpions of KMS and Alec did an excellent job! Go Bulldogs! I thought it was going to be brutally hot, but about an hour before the meet we had a light sprinkling of rain that was just enough to cool it off to a bearable level.

I took a few snaps of the meet, which can be viewed here:

We recently returned from our annual trip to Carlsbad and I put together a little slide show with various highlights. All the usual suspects were there this year along with a few additions: My sister Tracey came out from Virginia with her (somewhat extended) family and my friend Lauren came out from Tucson for the final few days. This year for us was beach, beach and more beach…no theme parks or fishing. We did manage to hit most of our favorite eateries like Taisho Sushi, Knockout Burger, Pizza Port, and last but not least…Super Donuts (best fritters in the world!). So without further ado…

cbadMy Brother sent me a teaser pic this morning. Apparently the water temp is very nice…although you’d never know it to look at this picture. The beach looks deserted!

I had the pleasure of attending my nephew Kyle’s wedding this past weekend. He and Brittany are both great kids…I wish them all the best with their new future together! One of the highlights for me was seeing my little niece Zoe as one of the flower girls…she is very cute and actually has her own web site if you haven’t seen it…http://www.zoestation.com So I ended up shooting some video and here are the flower girls. At one point Zoe notices that its me behind the camera and exclaims “Hi Uncle Fred!”
